When SRK said no to a Hollywood project

Time:5:30 pm Date: Jun 13, 2011

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has done it again. After refusing to act in numerous Hollywood films that were offered to him, King Khan once again turned down a lucrative offer.

Apparently producer of Hollywood films like Love Actually (2003), Four Weddings and A Funeral (1994), Duncan Kenworthy, recently stated in a television interview that he wanted to remake My Fair Lady (1964) as a musical with King Khan.

Kenworthy was keen on making two versions of the film; one with Colin Firth and another with Shah Rukh Khan. He also hinted at beauty Keira Knightley to be paired opposite Shah Rukh as he thought that they both make a great pair.

The UK based producer also stated that he met SRK at Mittal’s house in London in 2006 and after discussions, they [producer and SRK] were slated to work for a possible project but both got busy due to their individual commitments.

However SRK in a recent press meet did confirm that he met Kenworthy once in London but he was unaware of My Fair Lady with him in the lead. Wonder what Kenworthy will say to this?
